When you are married to a Costa Rican National you can apply for residency under this category. The marriage needs to be registered in the national registry of Costa Rica.
This category also requires a ‘marriage interview’ with the Costa Rican Immigration authorities to prove the existence of a real marriage. For this category more is better and as part of the application you could include, letters, airplane tickets, joint lease agreements, affidavits from friends and relatives and lots of photos.
This program is for one year and requires renewal annually, but you can apply for permanent residency after three years.
